Sajjad is a Fellow (practising) certified public accountant in Singapore and a UK graduate chartered accountant. He was formerly a Senior Partner of Arthur Andersen, Singapore having worked in the same firm for more than 30 years.

Sajjad was formerly Andersen’s Head of Litigation Support and Corporate Recovery Services and has extensive experience in audits, business valuations, corporate restructuring, financial advisory, claims and disputes consulting including testifying in court as expert witness. He has assisted and advised in various type of disputes, including construction claims, minority rights issues, business valuation types of claims, commodity futures trade disputes, lender liability claims and partnerships dissolutions.

Sajjad is also a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of Singapore International Arbitration Centre, a member of the Panel of Mediators of Singapore Mediation Centre and an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore where he is currently serving on the Banking and Finance and Accounting Standards committees. He is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Singapore and has served as its President in 2000 to 2001. He was also a council member of the Bukit Timah CDC. In 2002, he was appointed a Councillor of the South West CDC, the largest of the 5 districts

Sajjad has published articles and occasionally spoke at seminars and conferences on topics such as financial reporting, corporate governance and corporate restructuring. He also serves as independent director of a Singapore listed company.
